2016 Turbine White, Rhone Blend
Two family-owned vineyards are the source for our Turbine White. Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne are grown at Landa Vineyard located in the eastern foothills in the Sonoma Valley appellation. The Viognier adds floral aromatics while the Marsanne is a beautiful blending wine adding mid-palate richness along with acidity. Roussanne contributes aromatics and elegance. Grenache Blanc is grown nearby at Snow Vineyard. The Grenanche Blanc adds long length and balanced alcohol to the blend, with rich notes of citrus and herbs. Together, these Rhone varietals make for a layered and delightful sipper. A kiss of rose water, white flowers and tangerine zest perfume this viscous yet still steely wine while flavors of white peach, dried lavender and kaffir lime are layered on the palate. Balanced tension and a crisp yet rounded finish complement the detailed elements of the Rhone blend comprised of 40% Viognier, 31% Grenache Blanc, 22% Roussanne and 7% Marsanne.
