2019 Turbine White, Rhône Blend
Two family-owned vineyards are the source for our Turbine White. Viognier and Marsanne are grown at Landa Vineyard located in the eastern foothills in the Sonoma Valley appellation. The Viognier adds floral aromatics while the Marsanne is a beautiful blending wine adding mid-palate richness along with acidity. Grenache Blanc and Picpoul Blanc are grown nearby at Snow Vineyard. The Grenache Blanc adds long length and balanced alcohol to the blend, with rich notes of citrus and herbs. The Picpoul Blanc, known as the “lip stinger” adds great acidity and zest. Together, these Rhône varietals make for a layered and delightful sipper.
Our white Rhône blend always turns out to be a beautiful wine that both pairs well with food and stands on its own. Jasmine blossom and honeydew melon greet the nose, with elusive notes of lemon zest and wet stone close behind. It has a vibrant yet smooth mouthfeel, with peach skin and white plum gracing the palate. 30% Viognier, 28% Grenache Blanc, 26% Marsanne, 16% Picpoul Blanc.
