Deemed “one of the best wines I have tasted from Anaba” by critic Antonio Galloni, the 2022 Las Brisas Pinot Noir is an explosive, layered beauty. Experience the depth where wild cherry and damp earth meet savory overtones, new leather, and spice, leading to a long, stunning finish. Don’t miss out on this one.
The 2022 Pinot Noir Las Brisas Vineyard is one of the best wines I have tasted from Anaba. Rich and layered in the glass, the 2022 offers a compelling mix of sumptuous fruit and bright, savory overtones. That’s a pretty appealing combination in my book. Wild cherry, mint, tobacco, spice, new leather and orange peel build in the glass, filling out the layers effortlessly. What a beauty. ~ Antonio Galloni, Vinious
Las Brisas, which translates to “the breezes,” is a renowned Carneros site distinguished by the cooling winds that sweep off San Pablo Bay. This marine influence and the vineyard’s shallow clay soils slow ripening and concentrate flavors, yielding remarkable fruit vintage after vintage.
The 2022 vintage is a testament to this unique terroir, exhibiting the energy and aromatic drive for which the site is known. On the nose, classic Carneros character emerges with appealing notes of Bing cherry, deep damp earth, and subtle black tea.
On the palate, the wine delivers layered, explosive fruit framed by structured, integrated tannins and a pleasing spice complexity. Winemaker Katy Wilson harnessed the concentrated flavors of the exceptional 2022 growing season to craft a focused, elegant Pinot Noir that culminates in a long finish with beautiful oak spice. This wine is a pure, dynamic expression of one of Sonoma’s most coveted cool-climate vineyards.
