Named for the wind turbine that powers our estate, Turbine Red is our signature Rhône-style red blend. By sourcing from diverse vineyard sites across Sonoma County, we are able to balance the intensity of inland fruit with the natural lift of cooler, wind-swept locations. This intentional blending process creates a wine that is layered and complex, yet crafted to be approachable and ready to enjoy upon release. This vintage’s blend is comprised of 42% Grenache, 26% Syrah, 18% Mourvedre, 8% Cinsaut, and 6% Petite Sirah.
2023 was defined by a long, cool growing cycle. One of our latest harvests on record, the extended hang-time allowed for deep flavor development and mature tannins at lower sugar levels. This gave the wine a natural lift and a savory, spiced character that sets this vintage apart.
The nose leads with savory notes of black pepper, leather, and cardamom, layered over dark plum and raspberry. On the palate, the wine is integrated and smooth, showing black cherry and currant with a spiced edge. Subtle oak frames the finish, supporting a firm yet accessible tannin structure.
