2017 Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
This wine greets you with aromas of wild blackberries, black tea, and Santa Rosa Plums on the nose. The palate gives way to muddled cranberries, dried fruits, and vanilla. This wine finishes with a medium texture with graceful tannins – perfect for aging. Pair this wine with homemade wood-fired pizza, lamb meatballs, or your next Netflix binge.
Winemaker’s Notes
The 2017 vintage was an excellent one. A heat spike later in the growing season led to a more moderate yield with well-balanced fruit. We harvested in early September, avoiding the North Bay fires that plagued the region in October 2017.
The Vineyard
For our Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, we source fruit from a handful of notable vineyards across the revered Sonoma Coast AVA. Winemaker Katy Wilson expertly blends select lots and clones. Year after year, this wine is a stunner and a beautiful expression of the Sonoma Coast AVA.
