2021 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

Expressive aromas of cola, wild raspberry, and clove dance on the nose while deeper flavors of pomegranate, baking spices, black plums linger on the palate. It is a mouth filling and densely flavored Pinot Noir that perfectly reflects the Russian River Valley appellation.

Winemaker Notes

Although this is a new wine for us at Anaba, the vineyards are not new to us at all. In 2021, we decided to bring all the fruit from our great vineyards in the Russian River Valley together in this bottling and make a true reflection of the appellation. The result is delicious!

 

Vineyard Notes

The vineyards we sourced for this wine both have Goldridge fine sandy loam soil for which parts of Russian River Valley are well known. It is a wonderful soil type for Pinot Noir, providing great drainage and excellent natural chemical balance. This, combined with the cooling fog from the Pacific Ocean and shorter periods of sunshine, allows our Pinot Noir to thrive and maintain its vibrant acidity.
